Financial Controller – Property Development (Bangkok, Thailand Based)

Primary Role

We are looking for someone who will lead Finance and Accounting department in Project Development Finance and Accounting operations. This role will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, organises, develops and manages Finance and Accounting Policies, procedures and operating systems
  • Ensures Project Development Budget Control and Payment Process are properly integrated and users are trained to use the processes accordingly
  • Ensures effective Cash Management processes are in place and are compliant.
  • Ensures Project and Operational Finance, Accounting & related Taxation have been properly organised and managed to meet reporting schedules and regulatory compliance
  • Ensures key Management and Statutory reports have been submitted in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborates with Development Management (DM) team, both (SHs in full) shareholders, and tax consultants to identify tax issues, ensure compliance with tax laws and minimise tax exposure
  • Leads the implementation of SAP software to support DM team financial operations and co-leads with IT on the System Integrations between RE Lease/ Sales/ Unifier/ SAP
  • Develops risk management systems and processes

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder (or higher) in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in financial & accounting roles in a large international firm or Property Development/ Asset Management Business
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years as a Department Head
  • Strong leadership skills with good interpersonal skills
  • Highly effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • CPA preferred
